Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our groundworks and civils projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, cost control, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with contractual obligations. Duties



Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, from commencement through to completion. Monitor project costs continually, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures to maintain financial targets. Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project expenditure without compromising quality. Manage tendering processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to the project, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure clarity on scope and budget expectations. Prepare detailed reports on project costs, forecasts, and financial status for senior management and stakeholders. Assist in risk management by analysing potential financial risks associated with projects and proposing mitigation strategies.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Groundworks & Civils sector. Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, contractual procedures, and legal frameworks relevant to construction projects. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial calculations and reporting. Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
