Quantity Surveyor - Pub Fit-Out Projects

UK-wide (frequent travel | base location flexible)

Salary:

Up to 45,000 per year (DOE)

We're growing our team and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support pub, bar and hospitality fit-out projects across the UK. This is a site-driven role requiring regular national travel, so a full UK driving licence and a flexible approach are essential.

Key responsibilities

Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of fit-out projects from initial costing through to final account. Prepare budgets, cost plans, cash-flow forecasts and financial projections. Undertake site measurements, valuations and progress assessments. Handle subcontractor enquiries, quotes and orders. Review, assess and process variations and change orders. Produce monthly cost reports and forward forecasts. Work collaboratively with project managers and site teams to ensure projects stay on programme and within budget. Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation. Support tendering activity and pricing of incoming work.

What we're looking for

Demonstrable QS experience in fit-out or refurbishment, ideally within pubs, bars or hospitality environments. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement practices. Excellent numeracy, analytical ability and attention to detail. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., Excel, CostX). Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Desirable

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Experience working with a fit-out contractor or interiors specialist. RICS membership (or working towards it).
