About the role




Join our Power Commercial team as a Quantity Surveyor and play a key role in delivering complex, high-impact infrastructure projects, most notably the ASTI scheme, a major programme designed to strengthen the reliability and capacity of Scotland's overhead line network.



We welcome applicants from any industry with experience of NEC contracts. Power sector knowledge isn't essential, you'll gain this through structured training, hands-on learning, and ongoing professional support. If you're commercially minded and ready to grow, we'll help you build the expertise you need.


Location:

Flexible within Highland, Moray, or Aberdeenshire.

What you'll be doing



Collate project costs and highlight commercial risks and opportunities Manage procurement and maintain strong supply chain relationships Drive cost control to ensure value for money throughout delivery Build and sustain effective commercial relationships with stakeholders Administer client and subcontractor contracts in line with NEC requirements Support delivery of the Gated Business Lifecycle process Commit to ongoing professional development and relevant certifications


Who we're looking for



Degree: BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant experience Professional Membership: Working towards or holding RICS, ICES, or CIOB accreditation Contract Knowledge: Experience with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts (any sector) Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities Commercial Awareness: High level of commercial acumen with a strong customer focus
