Precise Enterprise Ltd is an established construction and refurbishment contractor specialising in social housing frameworks. Our work includes kitchen & bathroom replacement programmes, void refurbishments, planned works, and external repairs.
We are known for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard, while building long-term relationships with housing associations, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
As we continue to grow, we are looking to strengthen our commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor who understands the realities of social housing delivery.
The Role
We are seeking a commercially strong and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in the social housing sector.
You will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring cost control, value for money, and strong financial outcomes across our programmes.
This role offers real responsibility, autonomy, and long-term stability within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
Lead subcontractor procurement, tendering, and commercial negotiations
Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitor project costs and cashflow, providing accurate financial reporting
Work closely with site teams to control costs and improve margins
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements (JCT and framework contracts)
Identify commercial risks and opportunities and proactively manage them
About You
Must be a confident and capable Quantity Surveyor who can operate independently and take ownership of your projects.
Essential Experience & Skills:
Minimum
3-5 years experience
as a Quantity Surveyor
Strong background in social housing, including:
Kitchen & bathroom programmes
Void refurbishments
Planned maintenance works
External repairs
Solid understanding of JCT contracts and cost control processes
Strong negotiation and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and estimating / commercial software
