We're now looking for a
qualified Quantity Surveyor
to join us as a
permanent member of our close-knit team

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting related to building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and experience in cost management.
Duties
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
Monitor project expenditure and ensure costs are kept within approved budgets.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential financial risks or overruns.
Negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to secure favourable terms whilst maintaining quality standards.
Analyse tenders and assist in the selection of suppliers and contractors based on cost efficiency and quality.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for project stakeholders.
Implement cost control measures and recommend adjustments to project plans as necessary.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant legal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial management for building projects.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant software.
Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Relevant BSc/MSc qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are preferred.
