Job Description

Carton Developments Ltd is a well-established construction company specialising in domestic construction and insurance reinstatement works. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in the successful commercial management of our projects.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and contractual aspects of projects from initial assessment through to final account. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, insurers, loss adjusters, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing estimates, cost plans, and budgets for domestic and insurance reinstatement projects Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts Producing and submitting accurate reports to insurers and stakeholders Procuring and managing subcontractors and suppliers Monitoring project costs and cash flow Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures Supporting project delivery teams to achieve commercial targets
About You

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Strong background in domestic construction and insurance reinstatement works (essential) Sound knowledge of construction contracts and cost control Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach Full UK driving licence preferred
