Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor (roofing, scaffolding , facade and cladding)

The opportunity

The role involves projects across the southern and central London region. This is an opportunity to manage all commercial aspects of projects, from initial inception and tender through to the settlement of final accounts.

Duties:

To manage all aspects of pre and post-contract duties for major projects
to build and develop relationships with current and future clients

Dealing with contract change, opportunity and risk, payment applications and final accounts, in addition to carrying out project forecasting and reporting.

Team player with collaboration with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers and Estimators, as well as attending regular financial meetings

Also to deliver financial targets and deadlines, interpret project programmes, understand risk, and react to the demands of construction delivery to ensure the best value for the company.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have previous experience delivering roofing, scaffolding and cladding schemes

To succeed in this role, you should ideally have:

Quantity Surveying experience in the civil construction industry, preferably with experience in the NEC Suite of Contracts a chartered member of RICS a good knowledge of roofing , cladding and facade works
knowledge of carrying out projects in central London

A degree in quantity surveying or a similar construction-related qualification. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, a problem-solver Ability to interpret technical/design details to assist in problem-solving and valuing engineering options as appropriate. Experience with change, risk management, and tender and final account negotiation skills. Good people skills, including leadership skills and the ability to foster professional relations with others. A strong customer focus, while also being a team player.
