Our portfolio includes fast-track CAT A & B office fit-outs, prime commercial developments, heritage refurbishments, recording studios, healthcare facilities, leisure venues, and retail schemes.

The Opportunity

Following continued growth and a healthy forward order book, we are expanding our commercial team and now seek an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS to manage the full post-contract commercial cycle on live projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of mechanical packages from award through to final account Prepare and agree interim valuations, variations, and dayworks with main contractors Procure and financially manage domestic subcontractors and suppliers Identify, value, and negotiate variations and compensation events in accordance with NEC/JCT contracts Produce monthly cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and CVRs for senior management Mitigate risk through proactive management of contractual notices and early warning registers Drive value recovery and protect margin through robust change control Lead final account negotiations and achieve timely close-out Mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Proven post-contract quantity surveying experience on mechanical building services projects Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract Track record of managing mechanical packages valued between 1m-15m Excellent commercial acumen with demonstrable success in variation recovery and final account settlement Confident communicator, able to maintain positive relationships with main contractors and clients Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with Coins, Causeway, or similar systems an advantage Degree qualified or equivalent (BSc Quantity Surveying, HNC, or relevant industry experience)
