Role Description


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join Utopia's Real Estate team and manage all costs relating to Latin America's construction projects. This includes budgeting, estimating, scheduling and cost controlling. In this role, you will be at the heart of transforming business into reality. Your mission is to ensure the successful estimation and further allocation of resources in order to deliver the projects complying with their budgetary constraints.

Responsabilities



Prepare cost estimates and budgets for the projects. Conduct analysis to estimate materials, time, and labor costs. Develop bills of quantities for construction activities. Quote and procure materials and subcontractors at the best possible prices. Review and challenge proposals from subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor project progress and expenditures to ensure they stay within the budget. Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare and submit progress reports and variations to stakeholders. Resolve any disputes related to costs or contracts.

CV Requirements



Education Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or other related field. Work Experience Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in construction projects (+5 years). Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in high-end hospitality/residential projects (+3 years). Proven experience estimating budgets for construction projects over $20M USD. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, Google Sheets, Revit). Proven built network of industry connections and relationships with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

Nice to have



Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PQS). Work experience in construction site roles
