We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are effectively allocated and utilised throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Duties
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Procurement, Placing Orders, Payments, Payment Certifications
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing effective cost control measures to minimise overruns.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and cost implications.
Prepare tender documentation and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors.
Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide regular reports on project financial performance to stakeholders, highlighting any areas of concern or potential savings.
Liaise with clients to discuss project progress and address any financial queries or concerns they may have.
Experience
Proven experience in cost management within the construction industry is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations affecting project costs.
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and financial reporting.
Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management.
