Job Description

To support the delivery of a high - quality, patient - focused service. The

role involves close collaboration with clinicians, healthcare

professionals, managers, administrative staff - both within the

organisation and externally - as well as with patients and their

families.



Responsibilities include handling enquiries and complaints, conducting

patient interviews, and resolving issues effectively. The role is carried

out independently, with the manager available for guidance and

escalation.

Duties/Responsibilities:



To be responsible for the day - to - day supervision of specific

functions, ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided to

users.

To be responsible for the training needs of Band 2 staff. To promote good staff communication. To promote good communication skills with emphasis on patient

contact by telephone and in person

To work closely with all the clinical staff and administration staff

within the Emergency Department.

To be responsible for the day to day allocation of workload for the

Reception team.

To deal with queries from anxious patients or visitors dealing with

cultural or language difficulties.

Deals promptly with queries and complaints. To assist in

monitoring workloads re - arranging duties as required.

Provide advice and guidance to staff on disclosure of information in

accordance with current legislation.

To be involved in and supervise the introduction of new computer

modules and systems as required.

Provide day to day supervision of clerical staff: * Sickness Management
