The Opportunity

Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK\'s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

The Role

As Contingent Worker Recruiter for the Sizewell C project you will be a key point of contact for our Hiring Managers, supporting and guiding them through the process of hiring non-employed resource (temps and contractors) into their teams, classifying the recruitment need and identifying the best route to market in each situation.

Your main focuses will be:

  • Delivering a quality resourcing solution to meet our Managers\' needs for contingent workers
  • Managing supply partners (Agency and framework partners) to ensure they attract and supply diverse talent to Sizewell C
  • Utilising your expertise to ensure we are using the best, compliant and most cost effective option in every situation
As a strong stakeholder manager, we expect you to build and maintain solid internal and external relationships with hiring managers, HR colleagues and supply chain partners and we\'d like to see a proven track record of this.

The Skills

In this role, you will be the expert advising and delivering contingent resource into the project, so we\'re keen to see evidence of your knowledge and experience in this area, including the likes of IR35 and Agency Worker Regulations. It is important that you give a best in class customer service experience to everyone that you interact with, so feeling comfortable speaking with stakeholders at all levels and being confident in your project coordination abilities will be key to your success.

Your amazing planning, organising and prioritisation skills will be called into play as our environment is fast-paced and ever-changing. Your capacity for managing complexity, remaining in control of a busy workload and your tenacity to deliver for your stakeholders will all be important qualities in this role.

If the above sounds like you, then we\'d love to hear from you! There is a full description available if you\'d like to see it, please contact niomi.singleton@EDFEnergy.com for a copy.
