We're seeking an experienced Recruiter with a strong track record in the construction industry to join our in-house Talent Acquisition team. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with our Living Places and Asset and Technology Solutions businesses-areas at the heart of maintaining, transforming, and future-proofing the UK's infrastructure.
Based in Derby, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, with the chance to travel to wider UK regions and directly see the impact of the people you help bring on board.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across a variety of roles, from technical specialists to operational leaders.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to deliver effective, timely and innovative recruitment solutions.
  • Use your construction industry knowledge to proactively source and attract both active and passive candidates.
  • Build strong talent pipelines for specialist and niche roles, ensuring we're future-ready.
  • Champion the candidate experience, acting as an ambassador for Balfour Beatty.
  • Provide market insights and influence key stakeholders with your expertise.
Who we're looking for
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience as a 360 recruiter-ideally in construction, infrastructure, or engineering.
  • Confidence managing stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to influence and challenge where needed.
  • Skilled in using ATS systems, sourcing channels, and creative recruitment strategies.
  • A collaborative team player with the drive to get the job done.
  • Knowledge of employment law (Right to work) and recruitment best practice.
