Reporting into the Team Leader, you will deliver recruitment within a centralised recruitment service, to agreed service standards, in order to ensure optimal resourcing of vacant roles across Royal Mail Group.

This is a hybrid working role which offers fantastic flexibility with only 1 day required in the Sheffield office per month. However, there will be occasional mandatory office days to suit business needs.

About the role
You will deliver an end-to-end recruitment service, from responding to a requisition that has been raised by a hiring manager in the recruitment system, to the point of verbal offer to an appropriate candidate. This role offers great opportunities for progression and sits within a team that welcomes fresh ideas and strategies.

You will also:

  • Answer candidate and hiring manager queries, solving or escalating them through to successful conclusion
  • Maintain accurate records on all recruitment systems
  • Ensure 100% compliance with the agreed recruitment process
  • Manage customer relationships - both Hiring Manager, internal applicant and potential employees throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensure that areas for improvement are spotted quickly and actioned
  • Understand and comply with legal requirements and Royal Mail policies regarding recruitment
  • Maintain an audit trail and keep data confidentiality at all times
Please note, there will be a requirement to attend the Sheffield Office 3 times per week

  • Experience of working within a recruitment environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, telephone and written skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to problem solve
  • Strong desire to deliver excellent outcomes for the customer, prioritise workloads and hit team related targets
  • Ability to question and analyse data
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills so you are able to juggle conflicting priorities and escalate where appropriate
  • Numerically competent with good computer and analytical skills, including Excel
  • Able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all Royal Mail colleagues
