Role Overview:



Raphael Nursery is seeking an experienced and dynamic

Recruitment Manager

to lead our recruitment team and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple nursery locations. The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring qualified early years professionals who are passionate about childcare. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Recruitment Strategy & Planning:



Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified early years staff. Collaborate with Nursery Managers and leadership to understand staffing needs and priorities. Monitor market trends to ensure competitive hiring practices. Lead, manage, and mentor the recruitment team, ensuring clear targets and continuous skill development.

2. Candidate Sourcing & Outreach:



Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, and partnerships with colleges. Create and manage job advertisements for multiple platforms, ensuring clear and engaging content. Maintain and build a talent pool of qualified candidates for future needs.

3. Screening & Selection:



Review applications and screen candidates to ensure they meet the required qualifications and experience. Ensure the team effectively reviews applications and conducts initial candidate screenings. Conduct initial interviews and shortlist candidates for further evaluation by the Nursery Managers. Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and relevant stakeholders. Guide the team in accurately assessing candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.

4. Interviewing & Assessment:



Lead and participate in candidate interviews, ensuring a positive and professional experience for candidates. Conduct reference checks and background verification as needed. Provide coaching to team members on best practices for candidate interactions.

5. Onboarding & Compliance:



Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. Ensure all new hires meet safeguarding, health & safety, and legal requirements before joining. Regularly update and maintain recruitment and onboarding records.

6. Relationship Management:



Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, colleges, and job boards. Provide ongoing support and advice to Nursery Managers regarding staffing and recruitment best practices.

7. Team Management:



Supervise the recruitment team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Conduct regular team meetings, set recruitment targets, and monitor team performance. Foster a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture.

8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement:



Monitor recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience) and provide regular reports to management. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the recruitment process for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:



Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within the childcare, early years, or education sector. Strong knowledge of sourcing, interviewing, and selection techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of organization and attention to detail. Proficiency in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and job boards. Understanding of safeguarding, employment law, and early years regulations (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:



CIPD Level 3/Level 5 in Human Resources or equivalent. Experience in recruiting for childcare or early years roles. Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
