The Role



We are looking to recruit a Reducing Restrictive Practice Lead (RMN) for our client based in the north of England. They do brilliant work specialising in the provision of mental health services for young people focusing on residential treatment and care. Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will join the Nursing and Quality Team and work closely with the Service Manager and Clinical Director to deliver on key company priorities: reducing restrictive practices such as restraint, rapid tranquilisation, enhanced observations and blanket restrictions. You will be responsible for leading and developing a least restrictive, person-centred culture, evidenced based practice and for setting, maintaining and developing professional standards for nurses. You will also support young people who have highly complex needs and require specialist input.

What you will bring



You will be a registered nurse in an appropriate field of practice. Desirably, you will have a strong educational background with extensive experience of working with young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will hold extensive knowledge of relevant legal frameworks such as the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Use of Force Act with respect to its relationship to restrictive practice
