Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate needs to be committed to the role and as a minimum requirement must have a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification and have sufficient working experience within the field of Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviour. The position is ideally suited to a candidate who has experience in a Deputy Management/RHM position in a residential setting.
As the Registered Home Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of care in your home and ensuring that the home provides the adults who have an intellectual and developmental disability and behaviours that challenge, an opportunity to achieve meaningful and rewarding lives. You will be supported in your role with regular supervision and be enrolled in the company's training package. Further widespread assistance within the company is provided by our Operational and Clinical Leads, PBS, Finance and HR Departments along with the extensive professional knowledge from individuals to enhance and progress in your own career.
Overview of the role:
Leading and supervising the work of the Team Leader, staff team and ensuring safe working practices take place at all times in keeping with the standards required by the Care Standards Act.
Ensuring care is delivered according to relevant CQC registration regulations and comply with all legal requirements such as Health and Safety at work.
Liaising closely with Operational lead/Clinical Lead where necessary with regards to client's individual Care Plans, training etc.
Enabling the team to achieve goals and develop necessary skills through coaching, mentoring and supervisions, ensuring they are practicing best practice according to the PBS framework.
Liaising closely with the HR department to maintain staff retention and recruitment.
Participate and be involved in client assessments both prior to placement and thereafter, liaising closely with external professionals.
To chair and facilitate all review meetings and ensure an accurate record is kept of points discussed and agreed.
Maintenance of a house budget
Working as part of our dedicated, friendly and supportive team.
This position is based in Teynham. The total number of clients within this site is 9. The people living within these locations are adults with a Learning disability and or Autism with additional behaviours' which challenge community services.
This is full time post, 37.5 hours per week. Additional on call hours based upon on- call rota rotation, and possible occasional sleep-in responsibilities will be required.
Hours are worked in accordance with a 2- weekly rota between Monday- Sunday.
(Salary ranges from 35,000.00 to 39,500.00 Salary is inclusive of unsocial hours', enhancements, not inclusive of sleep-in duty pay.
A full UK Driving Licence is required for this position for manual vehicles.
The Candidate
Our ideal candidate:
A firm foundation in Residential care with a minimum qualification in Health and Social Care at L4 or above
A level 5 Diploma in Leadership or Health and Social Care
At least 2 years experience in residential care in a Deputy management or RHM position
Be self-motivated and flexible
Have good communication and the ability to develop good working relationships.
Trustworthy and reliable
Have good administrative and organisational skills
