Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

? NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

? Proven experience in a management role within healthcare or social care.

? Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.

? Quality improvement and risk management expertise.

? Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

? Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

? Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Registered Manager - Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the day-

to-day operations of one of our EMI care homes, located in the Huyton, Liverpool area.

This leadership role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining

compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing continuous quality improvement

initiatives.

The Registered Manager will take full ownership and accountability for all aspects of service

provision, working closely with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders to deliver

excellent care and support.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

? Oversee the daily operations of the EMI care home, ensuring effective service

delivery and efficient use of resources.

? Implement and monitor policies, procedures, and risk assessments to maintain the

highest standards of care.

? Ensure all support plans are person-centred, regularly reviewed, and updated.

? Manage the home's budget, monitor financial performance, and explore funding

opportunities to enhance service delivery.

? Ensure the home environment is safe, well-maintained, and meets residents' needs.

Regulatory Compliance:

? Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.

? Prepare for and manage CQC inspections, ensuring all requirements are met.

? Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and wellness for residents.

? Stay informed of legislative and regulatory changes affecting the care sector.

Staff Management:

? Lead, mentor, and support care home staff, ensuring sufficient resources and

appropriate staffing levels with rotas published four weeks in advance.

? Conduct regular performance reviews and support ongoing staff development and

training.

? Foster a positive working environment, enhancing staff well-being and retention.

Care Quality and Improvement:

? Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, driving continuous

improvement across the home.

? Address complaints and incidents promptly, ensuring appropriate resolution.

? Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) by monitoring and addressing any

performance issues.

Resident Care:

? Ensure a person-centred approach to care, tailored to the individual needs of

residents.

? Engage with residents and their families to build strong, positive relationships.

Financial Management:

? Manage the care home's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient use of

resources.

? Implement cost control measures to maintain financial health without compromising

care quality.

? Ensure that service users are invoiced accurately and promptly on a monthly basis.

? Take responsibility for the timely collection of fees, following up on any outstanding

payments to maintain the home's financial stability.

? Explore opportunities for funding and investment to enhance service delivery and

support ongoing improvement initiatives.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

? Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, healthcare providers, and

community organisations.

? Promote the care home within the local community and participate in community

events.

Continuous Development:

? Undertake ongoing training to stay up-to-date with best practices, regulatory

changes, and company policies.
