Due to internal development and growth, we are now seeking a
Trainee Registered Manager
to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Practitioner looking to step into a Registered Manager role with full support and mentorship from our experienced leadership team.
The Role
As a
Trainee Registered Manager
, you will work closely with the current management team to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become a fully Registered Manager. You will support the day-to-day running of the home, contribute to high-quality care delivery, and begin to take on leadership responsibilities while working towards registration with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
Support the operational management of the home in line with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
Assist in ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and child-centred environment
Work closely with and support the staff team, contributing to training, mentoring, and development
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and trauma-informed care
Build strong, positive relationships with young people, staff, families, and external professionals
Participate in audits, care planning, and safeguarding practices
Gradually take on more leadership responsibilities, preparing for registration
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting
Experience in a
Deputy Manager
or
Senior Practitioner
role (preferred)
Working towards or willing to enrol on the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's legislation, and quality standards
A genuine passion for working with children and young people with complex needs
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership potential
