We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead two dual-occupancy children's homes, providing therapeutic residential care for children aged 5-17 who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable young people by creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and management to a team of up to 12 staff across two homes.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centered care in line with regulatory standards.
Develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs of each child.
Promote a therapeutic environment that supports the emotional and psychological well-being of the children.
Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, and development.
Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and contribute to positive inspection outcomes.
Collaborate with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to support the best interests of the children.
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People's Workforce.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years.
At least 1 year's experience in a supervisory or management role within a residential setting.
Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (if not already obtained).
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
