Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care for children in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of home care practices, care plans, and the specific needs of children in assisted living environments. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively manage staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a nurturing environment for our young residents.

Responsibilities



Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's care home, ensuring that all care plans are implemented effectively. Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on best practices in child care and development. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote collaborative care. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures within the home care sector. Conduct regular assessments of children's needs and adjust care plans accordingly to meet their evolving requirements. Lead training sessions for staff on child development, safeguarding, and effective communication strategies. Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance service delivery. Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages children's emotional and social development.

Requirements



Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with relevant experience in home care or nursing homes. Proven experience in supervising staff within a care setting, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities. In-depth knowledge of care plans and the specific needs associated with children's health and wellbeing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and team members. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A compassionate approach to caregiving, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children under your supervision. Previous experience in an assisted living or care home setting is desirable but not essential.
