Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated

Staff Nurse (RGN)

to join our night team at our nursing home in Bristol. This is a senior position for a confident and autonomous

Registered Nurse

with an extensive background in UK

nursing homes

.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of

five years' experience

as an

RGN

, the majority of which has been within a UK

care home

setting. As a senior

Staff Nurse

, you will be the clinical lead during night shifts, trusted to work independently and uphold the highest standards of

elderly care

Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents, acting as the senior clinical lead during night shifts. Confidently and autonomously conduct and manage all

medication rounds

, ensuring full compliance and meticulous documentation. Utilise your extensive

clinical

expertise to assess, plan, and evaluate complex care needs without direct supervision. Mentor and support junior members of the care team, promoting best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in line with

NMC

standards and regulatory requirements. Champion safety and quality, adhering to all clinical policies and procedures for

elderly care

.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Valid NMC PIN

as a

Registered Nurse (RGN)

. A minimum of

5 years of post-qualification experience

as an

RGN

. At least

4 years of UK-based experience

within a

nursing home

or

care home

environment is essential. Extensive and proven experience in autonomously leading

medication rounds

and managing complex clinical procedures. The ability to work independently during night shifts, demonstrating strong clinical judgement, initiative, and decision-making skills. A deep understanding of the complex care needs within

elderly care

and a commitment to providing the highest standards.
