Purpose of Role

The Registered General Nurse (RGN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents at Heathfield House. The role ensures that residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met in accordance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and the values of the home.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care to residents. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with NMC guidelines. Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, responding promptly to changes in condition. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation. Collaborate with colleagues, residents, families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Support residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity. Uphold safeguarding practices, infection control, and health and safety standards. Participate in audits, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Experience

Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a nursing home setting. Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly across days and nights.
