Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (Full-Time)

Polden Hills Veterinary Centre is seeking an experienced full-time RVN to join our friendly and supportive team.

About Us

We are a busy, independent small animal practice located in the heart of Somerset, providing high-quality veterinary care with a personal touch. Our team is made up of passionate vets, nurses, and support staff who pride themselves on delivering excellent clinical standards and outstanding client service.

We have a well-equipped practice, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and dedicated surgical and dental suites -- allowing our nurses to use their full range of skills every day.

About the Role

As a valued member of our nursing team, you will be involved in all aspects of clinical nursing, including:

Inpatient care and monitoring Anaesthesia and surgical support Nurse clinics and client education Laboratory and diagnostic work Supporting student training and mentoring (if desired)
This is a full-time permanent role, typically 40 hours per week, with participation in a shared weekend rota.

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and proactive RVN who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

You should have:

RCVS registration (essential) A genuine passion for animal welfare and client care Excellent communication and teamwork skills Confidence in all areas of general nursing A positive, can-do attitude
Experience in first-opinion practice is preferred, but we're open to hearing from nurses with varied backgrounds who share our commitment to high standards of care.
