Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, professional and conscientious team in our small, well established, independent small animal practice in the county town of Taunton, Somerset.

We are looking for a nurse happy to get involved in all aspects of nursing, from theatre to nurse consultations. You will be working alongside our experienced and recently graduated vets. We also have visiting specialists offering a variety of cases to get involved with. We also have a lovely branch practice in the nearby market town of Ilminster.

We are RCVS accredited and a training practice. Current or previous experience as a clinical coach would be preferred but is not essential. We have a shared weekend rota and an out of hours in-patient care rota for those occasional cases where overnight care is essential for the patient. Emergencies at night and bank holidays are covered by a local OOH service.

Opening hours at our Taunton practice are Monday - Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am -12.30pm. We have a well organised diary and rota with the aim to support everyone in getting their breaks and heading home on time after an often busy and varied day.

Full or part-time with flexible working patterns always considered.

Salary up to 32,000 (dependant on experience), plus supplementary payments for our inpatient care rota. CPD allowance, RCVS fees, BVNA membership, VDS, private medical insurance, pension and 5.6 weeks holiday (FTE).
