We are seeking a motivated and passionate

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

to join our dedicated

Surgical Nursing Team

, supporting both our Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue departments.


Our hospital is staffed by highly skilled RVNs

24/7, 365 days a year

, delivering exceptional referral and ECC care to our patients.


You will be part of a well?established surgical team comprising

three European diplomate specialist surgeons

,

one RCVS specialist

, Surgical Residents, Surgical Interns, and

a team of 21 experienced RVNs

, supported by Student Veterinary Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.


In this varied and rewarding role, you'll be involved in the day?to?day running of both surgical departments, including:

Providing complex inpatient care Delivering anaesthesia for diagnostic imaging and a wide range of surgical procedures Supporting cases such as abdominal and thoracic surgery, fracture repairs, cruciate surgery, joint replacements, and advanced wound management

You'll work closely with our Anaesthesia service, as well as ICU, Neurology, Oncology and Internal Medicine teams.

There are regular opportunities to

scrub into advanced surgeries

, and you'll receive ongoing training and specialist support. We fully encourage and fund external CPD, including further academic study.

We're looking for someone with excellent clinical ability and strong communication skills, who can confidently work within a rolling rota that includes weekend and bank holiday cover. Previous referral experience is advantageous but not essential--we provide full training and support for RVNs joining us from primary care practice.

Our nursing team consists of over 60 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) specialising alongside our vets, including a dedicated night nurse team
