Registered Veterinary Nurse - Join Our Hospital Team




Are you a passionate RVN looking for a supportive, progressive veterinary hospital where your skills truly matter?


We have a rare, exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, experienced team. You'll work in a well-equipped busy hospital environment with a strong focus on providing contextualised patient care, a team-based approach, and professional development. We do our own 24/7 OOH work, and support 13 other local clinics with this. We have our own dedicated OOH team to handover to for continuous care for our patients.


Our State of the art hospital has been open since October 2022 it has 3 theatres, dental suite, X-ray room, ultrasound room, treatment/Laboratory room, a dedicated room for euthanasia's (Goodbye Room) a large colleague area with the mod cons , a quiet zone for colleagues, luxury patient wards with CASCO heated kennels, separate dog and cat wards, dog wash facility, 10 consulting rooms, separate dog and cat waiting room area, a large meeting room, plenty of office space and bedrooms for the OOH colleagues, and an outside quiet grass area to sit and enjoy your breaks.

What you'll be doing:



Delivering high end nursing care to all patients - interesting complex cases, patients stay with us long term, no transferring back and forwards Assisting with theatre and emergency cases / triage/ schedule 3 RVN procedures Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery/ working in wards 20-minute nurse consults - team-based approach including vaccinations, medication checks Working closely with vets, nurses, and support staff as part of a collaborative team Schedule 3 encouraged and utilised across all areas

What we're looking for:



A positive, team-oriented attitude Interest in hospital nursing Confidence in nurse consulting is a must, or a desire to grow your skills in this area Excellent patient care and communication skills Clinical coach, or willingness to train

Key facts:



Hours - Full time 40hrs 4 day working week Weekend pattern - 1:4 Saturday and Sunday ( 2 days off in week for this) OOH shifts for holiday cover (7pm-8am) can be discussed
