Brief Description

We are seeking a Reliability Improvement Specialist to identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of an engineering discipline and ideally have experience working with intelligent infrastructure programs/software. The RIS will also be required to analyse data and provide detail reports to a number of key stakeholders and be able to measure success of performance initiatives.

About the role (External)

Key Accountabilities

\xc2\xb7 Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.

\xc2\xb7 Identify problem locations and/or processes within the routes and delivery units, develop and implement action plans to resolve such issues in coordination with the delivery units.

\xc2\xb7 Support the delivery units in the effective implementation of improvement programme, projects and initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Support and implement six sigma processes and techniques to routes and delivery units

\xc2\xb7 Prepare business cases for improvement initiatives that are supported by robust analysis.

\xc2\xb7 Produce and implement plans for improvement initiatives that include training, briefing and support documentation.

\xc2\xb7 Measure and report on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Identify and share areas of best practice within the delivery units to improve business performance in a consistent manner.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

\xc2\xb7 Experience in maintenance management, processes and techniques

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes

\xc2\xb7 Detailed knowledge of an engineering discipline

\xc2\xb7 Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of operational railway environment

\xc2\xb7 IRSE Licence holder (Signalling only)

\xc2\xb7 Local Accident & Incident Investigation

\xc2\xb7 Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills

Desirable

\xc2\xb7 Incorporated Engineer

\xc2\xb7 Membership of professional body
