The Role
Reporting to the
Managing Partner
, the Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth within the
new-build housing sector
while acting as the company's centre of technical expertise.
You will lead Solar PV sales on new-build developments, grow our developer portfolio, and play a key role in expanding our
MCS-approved Air Source Heat Pump installer programme
.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the sale and delivery of
Solar PV systems on new-build housing developments
Develop and grow relationships with
new-build housing developers
, adding new clients to the company portfolio
Identify, assess, and
onboard Air Source Heat Pump installers
into our
MCS-approved installer programme
Build and manage strong working relationships with approved heat pump subcontractors, ensuring ongoing
MCS compliance
Work closely with developers, consultants, and site teams from early design through to installation and handover
Provide technical input on Solar PV and heat pump designs to ensure compliance with
SAP, Part L, Building Regulations, and MCS
Pre-qualify enquiries and carry out technical feasibility assessments
Conduct site surveys and roof layout assessments
Produce accurate quotations, system layouts, and performance calculations
Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery on site
Act as the main technical and commercial point of contact for developer clients
Identify further opportunities within existing developments and future phases
The Candidate
You will have:
Proven experience in
technical sales
within the renewable energy sector
Strong knowledge of
Solar PV
, battery storage, and
Air Source Heat Pumps
Experience working with
new-build housing developments or housebuilders
Previous experience managing, mentoring, or growing teams
A commercial mindset with a strong drive to grow customers and revenue
You will also be:
Highly organised with excellent time-management and multitasking skills
Proactive, initiative-taking, and innovative
Confident managing existing client relationships and developing new ones
Comfortable following and developing processes, documentation, and training
