The role for which you are applying has Intrinsic functions. You will be assessed on the following:
Writing, Reading, Understanding Instructions written and verbal. Mobility ie Walking to cover the acreage of the parks in connection with your duties. Manual handling. Using mobile phones. You must demonstrate your capability in using Grass cutting Equipment, Driving including Towing a Trailer, and general *Gardening duties. Induction training will be given for all equipment. Accommodation is provided and must be occupied on a permanent basis.
Further requirements are a Valid Full British Driving Licence showing current address, with BE entitlement. (If this is not held then it would be a requirement that the appointee make arrangements to acquire this entitlement within 6 months at own expense.) An Access NI Basic Certificate is required. It is possible to apply for this online. Successful applicants who have been registered unemployed may enquire from Job Centre for reimbursement for the cost of this certificate. A First Aid qualification would be beneficial.
The Park has direct access to the beach and is one of five in ownership of the company in a coastal location on the Ards Peninsula. The Warden will be expected to ensure the smooth running, of the parks under their care and will be assigned to particular Holiday Parks. Management may however consider from time to time the need to move employees to other locations within the company.
Attention to detail and presentation will be of high importance. Appointees must also have enthusiasm, good communication skills and be capable of commanding respect when dealing with Customers / Public.
Duties will include, re-setting Electric trips when supply has been disrupted, routine checks on Play equipment, Fire equipment, Basic Vehicle maintenance, Inventory Checks. Monthly Electric Meter readings. Litter collection and frequent attention to Re-cycling and Toilet Facilities. It is expected that the Warden will use their initiative in assessing the frequency of attention, which will depend on level of occupancy and use of facilities. Monitoring of Sewerage Facilities, and weekly / daily maintenance, to ensure the system is working satisfactorily. Supplying Laundry Tokens and Gas. Cleaning Park Office, Laundry and Vehicle. Grass cutting, Maintenance of Vacant Pitches, Flower beds, and Painting. Enforcement of Park Rules. Greeting Touring Customers and providing them with information in relation to their stay (when applicable).
On very rare occasions there may be a requirement, to assist with siting and removal of caravans - training given if necessary.
Employees will have the opportunity and encouraged to use any special skills they have, which may be of benefit to the company ie Painting, Herbicide Control, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery or any other skills not listed.
All communications are in English both written and verbal. Writing must be clear and legible for all paperwork.
