About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Property Inspector to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.
You will be responsible for carrying out property inspections, capturing accurate data, taking high-quality photographs, and preparing clear, compliant reports. You will also support our Valuation and Account Management teams, ensuring properties are presented accurately and that any maintenance or condition issues are flagged promptly.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You will be out in the field inspecting properties, liaising with colleagues, and ensuring that reporting is timely and accurate. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct property inspections across the Northwest and Midlands (with occasional national travel as required).
Assess property condition, record meter readings, and identify any maintenance or compliance issues.
Capture high-quality marketing photographs in line with company standards.
Prepare and upload accurate inspection reports to internal systems, ensuring compliance and attention to detail.
Support the Valuation team by collecting property measurements and details to assist in preparing valuations.
Provide professional, timely feedback to the Account Management team regarding property condition and presentation.
Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth process for property inspections and reporting.
Manage your diary and workload efficiently to ensure inspections are completed within set timescales.
Experience & Skills
Essential
Previous experience in property inspections, estate agency, lettings, or a related field.
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Willingness to travel regularly across the Northwest and Midlands (and occasionally further).
Strong attention to detail with accurate reporting skills.
Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office, email, online systems).
Professional, polite, and reliable when dealing with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable
Confidence using property management/CRM systems.
Experience in photography, with the ability to produce clear and professional images.
