We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children in their daily activities and development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support, fostering independence, and ensuring the well-being of children under our care. Duties
Assist children with daily routines, including personal care and mobility needs
Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities
Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
Maintain clear and open communication with children, families, and team members
Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required
Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and any concerns to inform ongoing care plans
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment at all times
Collaborate with other professionals to promote the child's development and well-being
Experience
Previous experience working with children is highly desirable
Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
Experience with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues
IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Driving experience is preferred for transporting children safely; valid driving licence required or desirable
