to provide strategic leadership and oversight for multiple children's residential homes between
Staffordshire and Manchester

About the Role
As the Responsible Individual, you will ensure that each home operates
safely, effectively, and in full compliance
with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
Working closely with Registered Managers, you will drive
safeguarding, governance, and continuous improvement
, ensuring that services consistently meet

Outstanding Ofsted ratings
.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide clear
leadership and accountability
for the quality and performance of multiple children's homes.
Ensure compliance with
Children's Homes Regulations 2015
and
Ofsted Quality Standards
.
Support and mentor Registered Managers to deliver
high-quality, child-centred care
.
Lead the implementation and monitoring of safeguarding policies and practices.
Prepare for and lead homes through
Ofsted inspections
with a focus on achieving excellence.
Promote a culture of
continuous improvement
, staff development, and evidence-based practice.
Oversee staffing, budgets, and resource planning to maintain operational effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with
local authorities, social care professionals, and regulators
.
Lead staff training, coaching, and performance management initiatives.
About You
We're looking for a
proactive and emotionally intelligent leader
who is committed to delivering the very best outcomes for children and young people.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum
3 years' senior leadership experience
in children's residential care.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
(or willingness to achieve it)*. Strong understanding of
safeguarding, regulatory compliance
, and
Ofsted standards
.
Demonstrated
leadership and people management skills
with a track record of success.
Clear commitment to
child-centred practice
and improving care outcomes.
Full UK driving licence
and flexibility to travel regularly between sites.
