Supporting a Small Group of Children's Homes | Driving Positive Change Across Services
We're recruiting on behalf of a client who creates safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where children and young people can heal, grow, and thrive.
We are now seeking an exceptional
Responsible Individual
to oversee and support a group of homes across the Midlands. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape services, mentor teams, and ensure the delivery of outstanding, child-centred care.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading, mentoring, and supporting Registered Managers across several Ofsted-registered homes.
Promoting a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, wellbeing, and outcomes.
Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
Leading safeguarding strategy, serious incident oversight, and embedding learning.
Driving quality assurance, audits, and service improvement plans.
Supporting leadership development and succession planning across the organisation.
Acting as a bridge between the homes and senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Building strong relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and sector forums.
Contributing to ethical and sustainable service development.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Proven senior leadership experience within children's residential care.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and sector legislation.
Strong communication, coaching, and performance management skills.
Experience in building and sustaining high-performing teams.
Desirable:
Previous experience as a Responsible Individual or with multi-home oversight.
Knowledge of therapeutic or trauma-informed practice.
Experience in the growth or development of new services.
