About the Role
As our Responsible Individual, you will:
Provide strategic oversight and visible leadership across multiple children's homes in
East London
.
Ensure homes meet and exceed
Ofsted requirements
,
safeguarding legislation
, and
regulatory standards
.
Support, mentor, and develop Registered Managers, driving consistent quality improvement.
Act as the
Ofsted-named Responsible Individual
for the homes.
Monitor operational performance, staffing structures, and compliance.
Build strong relationships with local authorities, external professionals, and stakeholders.
Report directly to senior directors, ensuring accountability and transparency across services.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Passion for making a real difference to children and young people's lives.
Substantial leadership experience in children's residential care.
A deep knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework.
A URN with a track record of successful Ofsted inspections ('Good' or 'Outstanding').
Strong safeguarding expertise and the ability to manage complex situations with confidence.
Inspirational leadership skills - you'll motivate, support, challenge, and develop others to be their very best.
Commercial acumen and the ability to balance quality with financial sustainability.
