Social Care Consultant
to provide strategic leadership and regulatory oversight across multiple children's residential homes in the South East.
This is a pivotal, high-impact role where you'll influence practice at a strategic level, uphold the highest standards of care, and empower teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership, guidance, and oversight across several residential children's homes.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Support and mentor Registered Managers to deliver consistently high-quality, child-centred care.
Champion safeguarding and embed safe, transparent, and accountable practices throughout services.
Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections with the ambition of achieving 'Good' and 'Outstanding' ratings.
Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Oversee budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
Drive workforce development, training, and performance management initiatives.
About You
We're looking for a passionate, experienced leader who can influence practice and raise standards across children's services. You'll bring:
At least 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care (essential).
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve).
In-depth understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and Quality Standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
A genuine commitment to putting children first in everything you do.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the South East.
