Service:



Ofsted Regulated Residential Children's Home, Regulated for the care of EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children - for x4 children's homes, plus x1 children's home pending registration.

Salary:



Earnings up to

75,000+ Bonuses

.

Salary Depending on Experience (sliding scale) - 60,000 (1st time post) to 75,000 (experienced).

Bonus Scheme:



To be confirmed pending negotiation, dependent on Ofsted rating, occupancy, financial performance, and attendance.

Hours

:

40 hours per week

- the role is flexible; however, the service is 24/7/365 and there may be times when the Responsible Individual is expected to work outside of office hours.

The Responsible Individual will be expected to work between all 5 children's home's, ensuring that all are operating effectively and that the management of each service are supported and guided effectively - time management will be essential.

Annual leave:



38 days per year

(inclusive of bank holidays)

+ birthday off



Essential Criteria:



- QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People's Workforce.

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services in the children and young people's residential management pathway.

- Ideally, previous experience working as a Responsible Individual, or as a minimum, experience at a quality Registered Manager level specifically within a residential home for children.

Experience of working within Ofsted Regulated Residential Children's Home's is essential for this post.

As a Responsible Individual you will:



The Responsible Individual is responsible for ensuring the Children's Homes, meets all its registration conditions, through achieving compliance with the relevant regulations. The Responsible Individual (RI) must demonstrate that they have an effective knowledge and understanding of the law, practice, and safeguarding, and apply business and management skills to oversee the smooth running of the homes and be responsible for the supervision of the company's managers.

Furthermore, the Responsible Individual is expected to:

- Oversee the management of the services; this is inclusive of being a designated safeguarding lead for the company, supervising the company's Registered Managers and undertaking quality assurance audits.

- Ensure that the services are operating in line with regulations and ensuring that the services are meeting or exceeding expectations.

- Be the individual who is the liaison / point of contact for Ofsted.

- Managing, and dealing with any internal or external complaints.

- Being the liaison with Local Authorities, and / or Clinical Commissioning Groups regarding referrals of children, invoicing arrangements, and Quality Assurance measures.
