Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in periodically and addressing any concerns promptly Handle payments accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, counters, and side stations Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper handling and storage of food items Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, adhering to health and safety standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest service excellence Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and cash transactions accurately Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is a plus Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue Kitchen experience or culinary background can be advantageous but is not essential
