A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Subway restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and managing all aspects of restaurant operations while maintaining Subway brand standards. You will ensure excellent customer service, food quality, and compliance with all statutory and company requirements, while driving sales growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, and oversee daily catering and food service operations within the Subway restaurant
Decide and maintain the range, quality, and presentation of food and beverages in line with Subway brand standards
Recruit, induct, train, and develop staff to ensure consistent service quality and operational excellence
Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and effective labour cost control
Plan and coordinate food preparation in collaboration with kitchen and service staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Discuss and accommodate customer requirements, including special orders and catering requests
Purchase, or oversee the purchasing of, food, beverages, and operational supplies and ensure accurate stock records and financial documentation are maintained
Monitor stock usage, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure supplies are properly used and accounted for to minimise waste and loss
Manage cash handling, daily banking, and financial controls in line with company procedures
Verify that food quality, beverage standards, and customer service meet expectations and Subway requirements
Ensure kitchen, preparation, and dining areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in compliance with food safety, health & safety, and local authority regulations
Implement company policies, operational procedures, and in-store marketing campaigns
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Determine staffing, financial, material, and operational requirements to meet short-term business needs and long-term objectives
Provide a safe, positive, and productive working environment for employees and customers
Required qualifications and skills
The ideal candidate should have a graduation degree with significant experience
or
A level (or equivalent qualification) with 3-4 years of experience, preferably in the relevant sector. The post holder shall have the ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
