Role Overview



The

Restaurant Manager

will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and efficient daily operation of LKO Restaurant. This includes ensuring consistent delivery of premium service and cuisine, optimizing operational performance, managing and developing staff, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards, and contributing to the long-term growth and profitability of the business.

This is a senior operational position requiring strong leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of restaurant management practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the brand's reputation for excellence while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management



Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and efficient workflow between front-of-house and kitchen teams. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service in line with LKO's brand values and customer expectations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and operational excellence. Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency. Oversee restaurant maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

People Management



Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate restaurant staff to ensure a high-performing, motivated team. Develop and implement staff training programs focused on customer service, operational standards, and compliance. Conduct performance reviews, manage scheduling, and oversee payroll and attendance. Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and professional growth consistent with LKO's values.

Customer Experience



Lead by example in delivering excellent service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Address guest feedback and complaints swiftly, maintaining professionalism and empathy. Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement strategies to enhance guest experience. Actively engage with customers during service to ensure consistent satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial & Business Management



Manage the restaurant's budget, revenue targets, and expenditure to achieve profitability goals. Analyse financial performance reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Work closely with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Support marketing initiatives, including promotions, local partnerships, and seasonal campaigns to increase sales and visibility.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, licensing, and workplace health and safety regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments, staff training, and audits to maintain a safe environment for employees and guests. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, staff certifications, and incident reports.

Leadership & Strategic Contribution



Collaborate with the Head Chef and senior management team on menu development, pricing, and service innovations. Contribute to business planning, strategy development, and long-term growth initiatives. Represent LKO Restaurant at industry and community events, upholding the brand's reputation for quality and integrity.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience



Essential:



Minimum of

3 years' experience

in a management role within the restaurant, hospitality, or catering industry. Proven leadership experience overseeing both front-of-house and kitchen teams. Strong understanding of food service operations, cost control, and health & safety compliance. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyse financial data, and drive business performance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:



Bachelor's degree or diploma in

Hospitality Management

,

Business Administration

, or a related field. Experience managing in a high-end or contemporary casual dining environment. Certification in Food Hygiene, First Aid, or Health & Safety. Knowledge of sustainability practices and modern dining trends.

Working Conditions
