Job Description



We are an award-winning eCommerce software company seeking a driven and results-focused Retail & Ecommerce Enterprise Business Development Manager office based to join our growing team at Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle upon Tyne.

This role is key to driving our business growth by acquiring and developing strategic enterprise-level clients to utilise our solutions. You'll be responsible for managing your own pipeline -- from prospecting and outreach through to deal negotiation and close -- while building lasting client relationships that deliver measurable results.

We anticipate that this role will primarily be a field-based role, attending client meetings across the UK and relevant industry events. However, we prefer candidates within commuting distance of our Newcastle office to attend when not on the road.

Key Responsibilities



Sales Generation:

Proactively drive revenue growth through outbound sales and strategic prospecting.

Full Sales Cycle Ownership:

Manage all stages of the sales journey -- from identifying leads and conducting discovery calls to closing new business.

Networking:

Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events to develop relationships and uncover new opportunities.

Targeted Outreach:

Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage potential enterprise clients.

Strategic Sales Planning:

Create and implement effective sales strategies that achieve and exceed revenue goals.

Solution Selling:

Deliver engaging product demonstrations and articulate how our eCommerce solutions address client needs and challenges.

Market Insight:

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to refine sales approaches and identify emerging opportunities.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate CRM records, update forecasts, and report progress to the Commercial Director.

Skills & Experience



You will have:



Proven experience in enterprise-level business development or B2B sales. A consistent record of achieving or exceeding targets. Knowledge and experience working with clients in the retail or eCommerce sector.

It would be great if you also have:



Experience within a SaaS, digital marketing, or technology-led environment. Established relationships with retailers or enterprise clients to hit the ground running.

30,000 basic

OTE:

Expected 120,000 - uncapped earning potential

Commission Scheme:

Earn commission for the full lifecycle of each client's tenure

Early finishes - 4pm Monday to Thursday & 3pm on Fridays
