The Revenues and Benefits Section administers council tax, housing benefits and other revenue services for the residents of the city.
We are looking for a motivated and capable individual to join our Revenues team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis as a Revenues & Benefits Officer. (The cover will be for a minimum of six months but may be extended if circumstances allow). We are looking to recruit an individual with a positive outlook and a willingness to embrace new technology to join our team and help us to continue to deliver and to improve our service. It is a very busy team and you will be dealing with account amendment requests, customer correspondence as well as assisting with collection of unpaid council tax and business rates.
Ideally candidates will have experience of using ICT systems, knowledge of council tax & business rates as well as excellent customer service skills. Candidates will need to have a good eye for detail, be able to work to deadlines and manage their case load to ensure that performance targets are met.
