An exciting opportunity has arisen within Close Brothers Retail Division for a Risk Analyst to support the business to deliver on our regulatory and customer service obligations.

The role will involve supporting the 1st Line Operational Risk Management framework, assist with the production of 1st Line Operational Risk management information, papers / updates and reports for committees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with risk analysis, insight, and reporting around Operational Risk areas within both CBMF and CBPF, to support effective 1st line risk management.
• Support reviews of the Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to identify key themes across the Retail Division to support 1st Line Assessment of the Division risk profile.
• Produce the Operational Risk Forum packs for both CBMF and CBPF.
• Take minutes at the Operational Risk Forum, ensuring they are circulated within agreed SLAs.
• Undertake quality assurance of risk events and reporting with the Retail Division, escalating concerns to the Senior Risk Analyst where appropriate.
• Support with the identification and mitigation of existing and future operational risks, including:

• Assist with effort to identify and manage emerging and future potential risks;
• Reporting of risks and incidents, with root cause analysis and remediation activity;
• encourage proactive risk management.
• Assist in the development and timely production of meaningful management information and reporting for relevant Forums and Committees.
• Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

• You have experience in Financial Services.
• You have good knowledge of management information practices.
• You have the ability to plan and organise own workloads.
• You have the ability to handle difficult conversations in a face to face environment.
• You have conflict handling skills and the ability to provide positive but constructive feedback.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

• Have experience of risk management context, specifically operational and financial services risk, and the wider regulatory context.
• Have experience with managing and influencing senior managers.
• Have development of effective management information.
• Have sound knowledge of documentation risk management frameworks.
• Have knowledge of regulatory environment.
