We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support our Operations team in pricing, procuring, and securing roofing opportunities. This is a key role within the business, offering strong opportunities for growth and progression.

Role Overview

The Commercial & Industrial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, cost plans, and tenders for roofing projects across the UK. You will support procurement, work closely with clients, suppliers, and the operations team, and help shape profitable and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and respond to enquiries professionally, providing technical guidance where required. Prepare detailed quotations, tenders, and cost breakdowns for roofing projects (reactive, planned maintenance, and major works). Conduct site visits to assess roof conditions, take measurements, and scope project requirements (where required). Source and procure materials, obtaining competitive rates while maintaining quality and manufacturer specifications. Prepare pricing documents using Excel, BigChange, and other estimating tools. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure clear handover of project scope, budgets, and technical specifications. Build and maintain relationships with clients, manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors to support future work. Provide quick-turnaround quotations for reactive callouts and remedial works. Maintain strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and industry standards. Attend client meetings, technical reviews, and project briefings.

Technical Knowledge - Required

Experience quoting for one or more of the following:

Commercial & Industrial Roofing

Single Ply Membranes (TPO, PVC, EPDM) Liquid Applied Roofing Systems Felt Roofing (Torch-on, cold applied) Metal Roofing & Cladding Cut Edge Corrosion Treatments Roof Coatings, Overlays & Refurbishment Skylight and Rooflight Replacement Gutter Repairs, Gutter Lining & Drainage Systems Roof, Cladding & Gutter Cleaning

Ideal Candidate

Essential:

? Experience in commercial and/or industrial roofing estimating
? Strong technical roofing knowledge
? Excellent numerical, IT, and spreadsheet skills
? Strong written and verbal communication
? Confident in negotiation and securing contracts
? Highly organised, accurate, and deadline-focused
? Professional, personable, and client-focused

Desirable:

? Experience with BigChange or similar job management systems
? Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
