Room Manager Day Nursery

Southampton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Room Manager - Be Part of Something Special at Tiny Toes Day Nurseries

At Tiny Toes Day Nurseries, we're offering a truly unique opportunity for the right individual to join our family-run team as a Room Manager -- a role that blends inspiring leadership, and exemplary early years practice in equal measure.

We're more than just a nursery -- we're a Big Family. Everything we do is guided by our core values of Trust, Thrive, and Togetherness. We trust our team to lead with integrity, we create space for everyone to thrive personally and professionally, and we build a culture rooted in warmth, respect, and shared success.

So, what makes a Room Manager different?

This isn't just about leading a room day-to-day. As a Room Manager, you'll be:

The strategic lead for your room - shaping routines, raising standards, and driving quality A coach and mentor - supporting your team to grow in confidence and capability A bridge between leadership and the team - implementing change and upholding our values A champion for children and families - building bonds and making every child's journey matter
It's the perfect role for someone who wants to stay hands-on with the children while confidently stepping into a multi-faceted leadership position. You'll have the autonomy to shape your room, make real decisions, and lead with purpose -- all with the full support of our wider leadership team.

Stepping Up? We've Got You Covered

We offer a bespoke training and development programme specifically designed to support ex-Room Leaders stepping into management. You'll gain the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead effectively -- with ongoing mentoring every step of the way.

Whether this is your first formal leadership role or a return to the floor with added influence, we'll support you to grow into the leader you want to be.

Who would this role suit?

A strong Room Leader ready to step up into their first formal management role A former Deputy or Nursery Manager wanting to return to the floor with purpose and influence Someone with vision, confidence, and a passion for high-quality early years education A leader who thrives in a supportive, collaborative, values-led environment
What we're looking for:

A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years A solid understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and quality practice Leadership experience - whether formal or informal - in an early years setting Excellent communication, organisation, and team-building skills A genuine love for working with children and making a difference every day
Why join the Tiny Toes family?
