Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

S/4HANA Finance Functional Consultant / Solution Architect with strong Program Management expertise

to support a major SAP transformation program migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The program also includes implementations of Ariba, SuccessFactors, and Concur. With most build and configuration activities nearing completion, the initiative is now transitioning into Systems Integration Testing (SIT), followed by User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operations Acceptance Testing (OAT), and cutover rehearsals. Some build work will continue in parallel during these phases.

This role requires a hands-on leader with deep functional knowledge of S/4HANA Finance, strong cross-functional coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse business and technical stakeholders. Prior experience with Grants and Donor Funds, upstream integrations such as Summit, and post-go-live transition to BAU operations is essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional & Solution Architecture



Provide expert guidance on S/4HANA Finance capabilities and best practices, especially for SAP ECC to S/4HANA transition scenarios. Validate, refine, and support existing configuration; contribute to ongoing build activities as required. Ensure strong end-to-end integration across Ariba (Procurement), SuccessFactors (HR), and Concur (Travel & Expense). Oversee upstream and downstream system integration, including financial platforms such as Summit. Ensure consistency of data, alignment of business processes, and seamless cross-system flows. Address functional gaps, particularly in areas involving Grants and Donor Funds.

Program Management



Lead and coordinate SIT, UAT, OAT, and dress rehearsal phases. Collaborate with testing teams to define test scenarios, ensure full coverage, and support execution. Work closely with build and configuration teams to triage, prioritize, and resolve defects. Identify, track, and mitigate program risks within a constrained timeline and budget. Maintain clear and consistent communication across business, IT, and external partners.

Cutover Planning & Execution



Develop and own the cutover strategy and detailed cutover plan for the ECC to S/4HANA transition. Coordinate cutover activities across Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT workstreams. Ensure readiness of systems, data, processes, and stakeholders for go-live. Manage dependencies, risks, and contingency plans related to cutover activities. Lead cutover rehearsals and ensure alignment with program timelines and operational needs.

Post Go-Live Transition & BAU Support



Lead the transition from project mode to Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations. Define and implement stabilization, hypercare, and support handover processes. Ensure knowledge transfer, documentation, and readiness of support teams. Monitor system performance post go-live and drive resolution of any outstanding issues.

Stakeholder Engagement



Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance-related topics. Facilitate workshops, issue resolution, and decision-making sessions. Ensure alignment between business requirements, solution design, and delivery outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience



10+ years of SAP Finance experience, including at least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations. Strong understanding of the SAP ECC to S/4HANA transition journey. Proven experience in Program or Project Management within SAP transformation environments. Hands-on exposure to Ariba, SuccessFactors, and Concur integrations. Experience working with upstream systems such as Summit and other financial integrations. Strong functional knowledge of Grants and Donor Funds processes. Demonstrated experience partnering with testing teams on scenario creation, test execution, and defect resolution. Experience leading cutover planning and execution in large SAP programs. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work onsite in London up to four days per week.

Preferred Qualifications



SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance. Experience in public sector or non-profit environments. PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Pay: 80,000.00-85,000.00 per year
