Duties will include but not be limited to:
Processing goods for auction, writing receipts, listing, numbering and organising clients property.
Moving and handling of all goods both pre and post sale to include furniture, clocks, rugs, paintings, glass, ceramics, jewellery etc.
Setting up the auctions including moving, displaying and lotting goods.
Assisting with the preparation of condition reports.
Organising and preparing purchased lots for uplift and shipping.
Telephone bidding.
Driving the Company Van, uplifting goods for auction and sorting items for disposal.
Undertaking house clearances.
Organising and maintaining a clean and tidy saleroom.
Undertaking routine health and safety checks.
We invite applications from candidates who:
Have previous experience of being responsible for moving and organising stock or goods, ideally for a period of 2 years or more in a similar work environment.
Have experience of driving a Luton Van or similar and undertaking removals.
Are organised, efficient and can demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Ideally have some understanding of the auction process.
Enjoy working in a small team in a busy work environment and also enjoy working with the general public.
