To drive client acquisition, engagement, and volume growth for the Exchange's and Clearing House's power and gas product suite. The role will build and deepen relationships with energy trading participants, including utilities, trading houses, and financial institutions. The successful candidate will also act as a key interface between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with product and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow participation and trading volumes in power and gas products.
Identify and acquire new clients, while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships.
Act as the primary commercial contact for energy clients, with an initial focus on Europe-based participants.
Work closely with product, operations, and risk teams based in Singapore to ensure client needs and feedback are effectively integrated.
Provide market insights, client intelligence, and competitive positioning to support internal strategy and product development.
Represent the Exchange and Clearing House at relevant industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Requirements:
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant sales or business development experience in power and gas markets, preferably in an exchange, broker, trading house, or clearing environment.
Strong understanding of energy trading (physical and financial), market structure, and regulatory environment in Europe.
Proven track record of client engagement, especially with energy traders, utilities, or commercial participants.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
