Sales Estimator - Door Industry
Location: Sheffield (Office-Based)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
About the Business
A leading specialist in timber performance doors, is seeking a motivated Sales Estimator to join their business. This role supports customers with the inspection, remediation, replacement, and ongoing maintenance of door systems. Known for their technical expertise and customer-focused approach, the company delivers high-quality solutions across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming client enquiries and enter them into the CRM
  • Analyse tender documents and prepare accurate estimates in line with company procedures
  • Record tender activity and outcomes using the CRM system
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication
  • Ensure estimates are submitted on time and proactively manage communications
  • Track and evaluate lost projects and provide feedback via the CRM
  • Assist with updates to estimate templates and commercial documents
  • Review contract documents to ensure all bids are compliant and meet client expectations
  • Respond to technical and general enquiries via telephone and email
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and team reviews
Experience & Knowledge Desired
  • Understanding of doors, ironmongery, and related products
  • Experience liaising with main contractors, trade contractors, architects, or end clients
  • Familiarity with estimating processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in estimating, sales, or account management is a bonus, but not essential
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; CAD experience advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence with numbers and analysis
  • Clear, proactive communicator with an organised approach
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and commercial practices
