Are you a results driven individual with a passion for the environment and a knack for building strong relationships?

Due to increase in demand, we are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Executive to join our team.

Cheviot Trees is a family-owned company, established in 1988. We have grown to become one of the UK's largest and most well-respected producers of forest tree seedlings. Our team produce trees for a diverse range of clients, from private landowners and commercial forestry companies to government agencies and conservation charities.

Your mission as a sales executive is to cultivate new client relationships and nurture existing ones, promoting our wide range of trees, plants and planting accessories.

This role is ideally suited to a commercially astute and passionate individual who can handle a dynamic, fast paced setting, and enjoy working in a team tackling different challenges throughout the day.

We welcome applications from individuals who do not have previous experience sales, but your skills and abilities should match the requirements listed below.

This position is full time permanent and will be office based at our HQ in Foulden, with requirement to drive for site visits and attending exhibitions and shows.

Responsibilities



Handle sales enquiries, provide advice and generate quotes / proposals. Follow up quotations and obtain feedback.

Nurture Existing Relationships:

Maintain strong, long-term relationships with current clients to ensure satisfaction and ensure repeat business.

New Business Acquisition:

Proactively identify and contact new prospects, understand their needs, and present our products with solutions.

Order Management:

Liaising with internal teams (e.g., admin, logistics) to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge:

We recognise that our product range is specialist and niche so we will help you gain a comprehensive understanding of our range. It is essential that you commit to continuous learning of new species, products, industry trends, and forestry practice.

After Sales Support:

Follow up with client's post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and identify future needs.

Requirements



A friendly, positive attitude with a desire to work independently and contribute to team success Proven organisational skills and attention to detail. A competitive nature with commercial awareness and business acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities Proficient in the Microsoft suite of software A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
